1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CoolPhabets ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are a parent or guardian downloading the App for a child, you accept these terms on behalf of your child.

2. Description of Service

CoolPhabets is an educational application that helps children learn to read and write in their mother tongue through AI-powered handwriting recognition, interactive games, and structured learning activities.

3. Subscription Plans & Pricing

The App offers a free tier and paid subscription plans:

Explorer (Free):

• 1 language, first 5 letters, unlimited practice
• AI match feedback, streak tracking, 5 badges
• 1 child profile

Champion (monthly or annual):

• All languages, complete alphabets, words & sentences
• Up to 6 child profiles, sibling comparison
• Full parent dashboard, 50+ badges

Super Family (monthly or annual):

• Everything in Champion
• Up to 12 child profiles
• Family games, family dashboard, shared badges

Prices vary by region and are displayed in your local currency in the App Store and within the app before purchase.

4. Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full Super Family access. The trial begins automatically upon first use. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, access reverts to the free Explorer tier. Letters already mastered during the trial remain accessible.

5. Payment & Auto-Renewal

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription

6. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

7. Content & Intellectual Property

All content in CoolPhabets — including letter definitions, word banks, sentence banks, illustrations, animations, sounds, and machine learning models — is owned by CoolPhabets or used under license. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

8. AI Handwriting Recognition

The App uses AI to match children's handwriting to target letters. Match scores indicate the AI's confidence in recognizing the drawn letter. They are not a definitive assessment of handwriting quality or a child's learning ability. AI accuracy may vary by letter, handwriting style, and device.

9. User Content

Children's drawings and handwriting strokes are processed on-device and are not collected, stored, or transmitted by us. Parents may choose to export learning data (e.g., weekly reports) using the device's share functionality.

10. Third-Party Content

The Stories & Rhymes section embeds YouTube videos. YouTube content is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or data practices of YouTube. Access to YouTube content requires an internet connection and is gated behind parental controls.

11. Availability & Updates

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain backward compatibility with your child's learning progress. Major changes will be communicated through the App Store update notes.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI recognition will be 100% accurate, that the App will be error-free, or that it will meet all educational goals. The App is a supplementary learning tool and does not replace formal education.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoolPhabets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or learning progress.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CoolPhabets is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
